Success Stories

I just wanted to write and let you know that I adopted "Pate" a few  weeks ago from the Petsmart in Tri-County.  I have
re-named her Sedona.  Sedona is such a sweet little girl and is doing very well in her new surroundings.  She has the
company of two other cats, 3 dogs, and 2 dwarf hamsters (well the hamsters are in cages).  Sedona gets along
beautifully with all of her new family.  We had a house full of people (children included) on Thanksgiving and she did
very well.  Sedona has been a wonderful addition to our family.  I named her Sedona because I love the beautiful
colors of the landscape in Sedona, Arizona.  Our Sedona also has a coat of many beautiful colors.  Her picture that I
am sending does not do her justice, but it does show how contentshe is in her new forever home.  I am looking
forward to many years of companionship with our new little girl.

Dear Cat Connection,
I have had a cat (named Cleo) for almost fourteen years now,(and since I an 26 years
old, that means that she's been in my life for more than half of it).  Last year I started
noticing her slowing down quite a bit.  She stopped jumping in bed at night and was
becoming less and less social.  I was worried that her health was failind and I wasn't
sure how I would handle losing her.  I decided to start looking for a kitten (in hopes of
offsetting some of the pain).  Through Petfinder, I found Josie (long-haired tabby) who
was being fostered in someone's home.  She was 5-6 months old and had just had
her back left leg removed.  I fell in love with her picture instantly and knew as soon as
you brought her to my apartment that she just had to stay.  Cleo and Josie hit it off right
away without any fighting at all.  I was so utterly happy with my new addition, that for
months I would check your website for "Happy Tails" and Petfinder to keep up to date
on how some of the other cats were doing.
Last September, while I was at work, I found Molly (formerly Muffie; dilute calcio).  She
was at the Tri-County PetsMart, was only 9 weeks old, and had been born with only a
partial back, left leg (which had just been amputated).  On my lunch hour I drove to
PetsMart to see her and then begged to the people there to hold her just until I got off
from work (which I know they aren't supposed to do, but I couldn't resist).   I brought
her home that same night and all three of them got along great.
It's been six months since Molly joined our family.  Since then, the four of us have left
the apartment and moved in with my Dad, who id just thrilled to have the "babies"
around.
Josie is the most affectionate and the most beautiful cat I have ever seen but maybe
I'm partial.  Molly is still playful and precocious and strives everyday to think of new
ways to be absouutely adorable.  And the best news of all is that Cleo's attitude has
changed drastically.   She will play with the other two  (if provoked); she jumps in bed
with me again, and is more social than she has been in the last thirteen years!
Thanks so much for looking after my two little girls and bless you for all for what you
do.  Everyday I am thankful that someone saw how wonderful these cats are and was
able to look past their handicap. (which let me tell you, hasn't slowed them down a bit).
Thanks for everything,
Jackie
I am including a picture of both of them that was taken within days of adopting Molly.  I
don't have a more current one than that, but if I did it would most likely be of the two of
them curled up in a heap!
Lucy
She has one blue eye and one brown eye
Hello, this is Patty...I adopted Lucy about 2 months ago and I wanted to send a
picture to let you know how she is doing.  Everything is going great with her,  she
is a PERFECT little kitten.  She is very happy and healthy and everyone loves her,
but how could anyone resist?   Well I hope you enjoyed the picture and thanks
again for allowing me to adopt such a little angel!

"Just wanted to say hi to everyone at Cat Connection.  I've been at my new home a
year now.  Things are going really well.  My new parents love me very much, and I
think my big sister enjoys having me around, although she does slap me
occasionally.  Not a big deal, she's declawed!
I want to thank you for all the work you do to save cats like me.  It is very
appreciated.
Thanks for everything,
Love,
Billie"

PS from Cat Connection,
Billie is a gentle, affectionate and very pretty
youngster who was rescued from a barn situation
with her 3 kittens.  She is blind in one eye either
from an old injury or a past infection that was not
treated.
Thanks to Billie's new family she is finnaly living the
life she deserves, being spoiled, pampered and
loved.
A letter from Ashes new family
"Ashes is the most wonderful cat!!!!! I have been slowly been introducing her to
my other animals and she is a star!!!  She is so brave and......well,  I could go on
and on.  We went to the vet and she was so cute, interested in everything.
I have a fireplace in my apartment (has never been used) and she jumped in it
last evening to explore- so here was this grey cat looking through the black mesh
curtain---I laughed so hard, but not before I snapped a picture. Thanks so much!!

Dear Cat Connection,

This is a long overdue thank you for our "Jeannie".  I adopted Jeannie at the
TriCounty PetsMart in 2003.  Her name at that time was Hope. I had no
intention of adopting a kitten.  I already had a dog and three other cats at
home.  I was in the store to purchase pet food.  But when I saw this darling
8-week old calico, I couldn't resist.  Without consulting the rest of my family,
and resisting all rationality, I adopted her.  My sons and husband accused
me of quickly turning into the crazy cat lady (check in with me in another 20
years and we'll see how I'm doing.

All of us immediately fell in love with Jeannie, including her two big male cat
brothers, her older tortoiseshell sister, and our lab/pointer mix, Daisy.

Jeannie is so special.  She actually plays fetch.  She gets very excited about
the plastic ring from a bottle of milk, and also likes the plastic lids from
bottled water.  She will bring us her toy and meow until we throw it to her.
She brings her toy back and will acutally drop it into our hand, ready to go
chasing it again.  She'll do this until she drops into a heap on a lap from
exhaustion.

My younger son went off to college and his greatest regret was that he'd
leave his "special" girl. Here's a picture he took of her from his digtal
camera.

If it weren't for you and your kind volunteers, we wouldn't have this precious
girl.  Her older sister is only 6 months older than Jeannie.  We look forward
to these two young ladies growing old together.  Words cannot do enough to
thank you.  Please know your work is appreciated at our house on a daily
basis.

Hi,
I've finally been allowed at the computer and I wanted to let my
foster mommy know that I'm doing great!  I've been at my
permanent home for almost 2 years and have adjusted well
along with my two older sisters.
I'm told that I was the runt of the litter but I have made up for
that at 14-15 lbs.  I'm a very affectionate, loving kitty and I like
the attention when Mom/Dads friends come by.  I was adopted
from PetSmart-TriCounty in March 2005 and my name was
Candy.  My Mommy's friend renamed me Ohmy.  (The story
behind the name is to long for this e-mail but Mommy says I
live up to that name.   Oh yeah....I talk a lot!

My next oldest sister was also adopted from Cat Connection
through PetSmart-TriCpunty in March 2003.  Her name was
Joyce but is now Youtoo.  She is still a very little kitty, shy and
afraid of loud noises.  We run and play a lot and sometimes
we nap together.  She lets Mommy & Daddy know when she is
ready for attention.  She doesn't meow, she just squeaks.

I have asked Mom to send a recent picture of both of us.
Thanks for finding us a good home!

Dash just could not find
anything to watch on TV!!
Dear Cat Connection,
Last August I adopted a kitten from the West Chester PetSmart that came
from your agency.  His name was Jiminy Cricket, now it's Dash. He was the
kitten with no tail found by the rail road tracks.
I just want to let everyone know that he is doing well.  He is the sweetest cat I
know.  He thinks he is a dog!  When I get home from work he comes running
to the door to greet me.  He also knows how to sit and shake!  He is an
amazing little boy and very affectionate.  To say he is a cuddler is an
understatement.  He loves to give kisses and to sleep in bed with me at
night curled around my head.
Dash says hi to everyone and that he misses you all but he loves his new
home where he is spoiled rotten and treated like a king!
Thanks,
Steph
One year ago I was so fortunate to run across
your website and found the most adorable
picture of a kitten you had for adoption.  Her
name was Thumbalina.  You were so nice to
meet me that very night that we made contact
and I was able to take her home.  The last words
the lady said to the little kitten was "live a good
life"  Well, I just had to write at this point to tell
you that she is doing just that!
I quickly re-named her Rascal but with her
coloring, my grandchildren said she looked like
a snowball so they call her Rascal Snowball

She is just the love of my life.  So full of
personality and so loving.  Sleeps/snuggles with
me at night and yet is VERY active and so very
curious.  She has a warm house that is definitely
hers to go where she wants and when and is
well fed and pampered. She loves all of her toys.
I am attaching some pictures of what she looks
like now.

Thank you so very much for the services you
provide and I feel very fortunate that I was
selected to give her a home and that she can
provide me lots of company.

I would like to thank everyone involved with
Cat Connection.  I adopted
one of Tilly's kittens at the Tri-County PetsMart
and she is just
wonderful!  The foster home the kittens were
in did a GREAT job!!
We could tell right away that our kitten was
well taken care of.  When I
called and requested the deworming
medicine that our kitten needed, it
came quickly.  By the way, we named her
Scooby!
Thanks again,
Christy
